The coast of Ireland abounds with shellfish including langoustines, whelks, crabs and lobsters. We work closely with local fishermen and operate our own boats, ranging from 10 to 26 metres, which can process catch at sea for optimum freshness.
Based on the County Down coast, we're ideally placed for home and international markets, exporting to 15 countries from the Far East to South America and closer to home in Europe.
In 2014 we opened an Oyster Farm in Carlingford Lough, combining traditional methods with new ideas. We hold the highest Seafish Authority accreditation and the SAI Global Standard, and now operate from over 6,000sq metres in a modern, fully automated plant with full EU approval.
Although we've grown considerably, we're still a family business — the Rooney family own and run it, and know all their staff and customers by name.
